Administration Support Officer

The Campbell Institute is one of New Zealand’s leading English language providers with a strong reputation for high academic standards and a warm family atmosphere. Campbell is part of ACG Education, and a preferred provider for Victoria University of Wellington and Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand.

The Campbell Institute is currently looking for a motivated and friendly Administration Support Officer to join our hardworking team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Student Services team with administration duties (including reception work, data entry and assisting with visa applications/insurance claims)
  • Assisting with the orientation of new students
  • Academic administration

This is a 6 month fixed term, part time position (20 hours per week), and includes work every Monday from approximately 10.30-4pm, with a degree of flexibility around the balance of working hours. This is an entry level position that would suit a university student or recent graduate.

Please note that applicants must be able to present themselves in Wellington for an interview, therefore off-shore applicants will not be considered. Applicants without the right to work in New Zealand will not be considered.

Minimum requirements

  • NZ residency or NZ work rights
  • Excellent communicator and highly organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and reliable
  • Energetic and outgoing
  • A fast learner and confident using basic computer programmes (such as Microsoft Excel)

Preferred

  • Experience with international students
  • Experience in administration and customer service
  • Ability to speak a second language

ESOL/EFL Teachers Needed

The Campbell Institute is one of New Zealand’s leading English language providers with a strong reputation for high academic standards and a warm family atmosphere. Campbell is a Cambridge CELTA Training Centre, and is preferred provider for Victoria University of Wellington and Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand.

Campbell requires additional teachers for day-relief and also for a range of fixed term positions. Day relief would suit current post-grad Applied Linguistics or TESOL students, or recent graduates – or more experienced teachers with a flexible schedule.

To be eligible for a fixed term role, teacher must have at least CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL qualification, or higher. Please note that applicants with online-only qualifications or TESOL qualification without any practicum can not be considered for fixed-term positions.

English classes generally run during the day time (9am to 3:30pm), and we have recently launched evening classes (5pm to 9pm) – so are looking for teachers to fill both time slots.

Minimum requirements

  • Native-English-speaker competency
  • University Degree
  • CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL
  • 3+ years ESOL/EFL experience

Preferred (one or more of the following)

  • Strong interest in technology in the classroom
  • Experience with EAP – Academic Skills for further study
  • Expertise working with low-proficiency students
  • Experience delivering TESOL professional development
