CELTA Centre Manager and English Teacher

The Campbell Institute is one of New Zealand’s leading English language providers with a strong reputation for high academic standards and a warm family atmosphere. Campbell is a Cambridge CELTA Training Centre, and is preferred provider for Victoria University of Wellington and Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand.

The CELTA Centre Manager role will involve responsibility for planning, promoting and delivering the CELTA course up to 3 times per year, and in between CELTA courses delivering EFL tuition to international students. Due to the range of work involved, this will suit somebody who is looking for variety in their job, including teaching, training, interviewing, administration and marketing.

Candidates must be qualified and experienced as a CELTA tutor, and should have experience delivering international English exam preparation, such as IELTS or Cambridge FCE/CAE exams, in addition to a total minimum of 5 years teaching experience.

The successful applicant will become part of a well-qualified, hard-working and very supportive team.

This is a permanent full-time salaried position.

Minimum requirements

  • Native-English-speaker competency
  • University Degree
  • DELTA or equivalent
  • CELTA Trainer registration
  • 5+ years ELT experience
  • IELTS/FCE/CAE experience
  • NZ residency or NZ work rights

Preferred

  • Examining experience
  • Programme development experience
  • Experience in a position of responsibility
  • Demonstrated administration ability
